Good sleep isn't a luxury, but the foundation for health, beautiful skin, and mental strength. In the Sleep & Recovery module, we focus on your sleep and help you rediscover deep sleep. To achieve this, we combine the latest findings in sleep research with soothing ambience concepts:

Optimized sleep environment : Our exclusive Deep Sleep Suites® were developed in collaboration with sleep medicine specialists and plastic surgeons to create ideal conditions for nighttime regeneration. Humidity-controlled, highly purified air and a fine hyaluronic mist at night provide your skin with extra moisture and promote elasticity. Intelligent lighting control adjusts the lighting to your natural biorhythm, and a special bed with gentle vibration and background music promotes deep relaxation. Soothing scents and a subliminal binaural music system accompany you into a restful night.

Sleep analysis & monitoring: We approach sleep with scientific precision. On your first night, wearable sensors can measure various parameters—from brain activity (EEG) to breathing patterns and heart rate—just like in a clinical sleep lab.

Our Deep Sleep Suite® beds are also equipped with integrated sensors that continuously record vital signs without disturbing your sleep. This provides us with a detailed picture of your sleep quality. In the morning, you will receive a clear evaluation, and we will develop customized recommendations for how you can further improve your sleep. We are happy to support you even beyond the first night: Upon request, we use advanced sleep monitoring (via wearables) to track and support your progress. For Deep Sleep Club members, we offer a concierge service beyond your stay and regularly advise you on your sleep hygiene.

Regenerative sleep therapies: Sleep & Recovery encompasses more than just sleep—it's about holistic recovery. Special treatments support your body's nightly regeneration. For example, glymphatic drainage massages promote the removal of metabolic waste from the brain, thus improving mental alertness. Photobiomodulation (LED light therapy) in the morning or evening stimulates cellular repair processes and stabilizes the circadian rhythm. Additionally, we can calm your nervous system with breathing and relaxation exercises or mindfully guided meditation in the evening. All of these measures help you not only fall into a deep sleep more quickly, but also start the next day rested, clear-headed, and strengthened.

RESO-BALANCE BED

Our beds in the Deep Sleep Suites are equipped with a Reso-Balance body-sound vibration mattress. It combines gentle vibrations with a suitable background sound to promote deep relaxation. Special sound transducers in the mattress core generate rhythmic vibrations that spread evenly and gently throughout the body.

SLEEP SCHOOL

To help sustain the positive effects of your stay, we offer our online sleep school as a digital companion program. This provides you with access to a structured learning program that helps you develop healthier sleep habits step by step. From easy-to-understand video modules to practical everyday tips, you can access it anytime, anywhere.

SLEEP DIAGNOSTICS

Polysomnography allows for a comprehensive analysis of your sleep behavior without requiring you to visit a traditional sleep lab. In our Deep Sleep Suite, wearable sensors are placed on your skin, ideally on the first night, to record various parameters throughout the night, including brain activity (EEG), breathing patterns, and heart rate.

BATH BUTLER + BEAUTY SLEEP

As part of our Sleep Retreat, you'll have exclusive access to a personal bath butler—an experienced consultant for all aspects of sleep rituals in the bathtub. With a keen sense of your individual needs, they'll create the perfect bath composition and guide you through a ritual that's far more than just a warm bath.

SLEEP MONITORING + SUPPORT

Even after the diagnostic assessment on the first night, we can continue to monitor your sleep upon request – discreetly, wirelessly, and using modern technology. Our Deep Sleep Suites® are equipped with discreet sensors in the mattresses that can continuously record certain vital signs without disturbing your sleep. Additionally, you can use the Oura Ring, for example, which provides precise insights into your nightly rest based on heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and movement data.

BEAUTY SLEEP

At Institut Uniq, we promote beauty sleep through a holistic concept based on the latest scientific findings. Since the body's actual regeneration, particularly the production of collagen for skin firming and renewal, only begins around the seventh hour of sleep, we place particular emphasis on enabling deep and sustained sleep.

LABORATORY DIAGNOSTICS

Sleep problems can have many causes. Often, they are due to deficiencies or imbalances that can be uncovered through targeted laboratory tests. Therefore, at our retreat, we offer comprehensive nutrient and hormone analyses, examining parameters such as magnesium, vitamin D, B vitamins, iron, and thyroid hormones.

Deep Sleep Suite

Regeneration begins in sleep - Our Deep Sleep Suite® was developed together with our plastic surgeons and sleep experts – as a multisensory space that specifically promotes physical regeneration, skin care and sleep quality.

SLEEP INFUSION

Our infusion therapies are based on selected micronutrients that specifically support the body in sleep regulation. A key component is magnesium, which can relax the muscles and nervous system. Tryptophan, an essential amino acid, is a component of the sleep hormone melatonin, which promotes falling asleep and staying asleep.

HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is an effective method for promoting cell regeneration and is used worldwide in longevity medicine. Through the controlled inhalation of pure oxygen under increased ambient pressure, significantly more oxygen reaches the tissue where it is needed for energy production, detoxification, and healing.

PHOTO-BIO-MODULATION

ICE LEG CRYOTHERAPY

Icebein cryotherapy applies localized cold pulses to the legs to promote blood circulation and stimulate metabolism. OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy views the body as a holistic system in which muscles, fascia, bones, and internal organs interact. With trained hands, our osteopaths specifically palpate areas that could negatively impact sleep, such as the neck or jaw joint.

Exercise contributes significantly to balancing body and mind. Therefore, we provide discreet exercise facilities in our suites, such as yoga mats, suspension trainers, and light weights. This allows guests to be active at any time and in a private atmosphere, without the hassle of traveling to the gym or making appointments.

SPA + MASSAGES

The spacious spa area at the Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg offers access to gentle treatments that activate lymphatic flow, circulation, and tissue metabolism. Lymphatic drainage and deep tissue massages help eliminate cellular waste products, promote microcirculation, and ensure a fresher, firmer complexion.

MEDITATION + YOGA

Stress and inner restlessness are common causes of difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep. Meditation and yoga are among the most effective methods for calming the body and mind. Our experienced instructors offer courses that help you learn breathing techniques and gentle movement sequences. These not only promote flexibility and body awareness but also reduce the urge to dwell on your thoughts.

G-LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

During deep sleep, the glymphatic system—the brain's natural cleansing system—becomes active. The spaces between nerve cells expand by up to 60%, allowing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to circulate more intensively and flush metabolic residues like beta-amyloid from the tissue.

The physiological effects are well documented: A sauna session in the late afternoon or early evening initially significantly increases core body temperature. In the hours following, it drops measurably – a temperature profile that corresponds to the natural process of falling asleep.

CULINARY SLEEP CONCEPT

In our four restaurants, we combine enjoyment and health by using specific foods that facilitate falling asleep or promote sleep quality. In the evening, you can expect light yet aromatic dishes rich in tryptophan, magnesium, and other sleep-promoting substances. This allows for a gentle calming of the nervous system without overburdening the stomach.

STAR CUISINE

INTERMITTENT ALTITUDE TRAINING

Intermittent altitude training uses a special mask to simulate mountain air in alternating phases. This alternating reduction in oxygen (hypoxia) and enrichment (hyperoxia) challenges the organism in a controlled manner and supports important adaptation processes, such as improved oxygen utilization and increased performance.
